Its exclusive 7/8" (2.2cm) aluminum composition top is stronger than any wood, more consistent than fiberglass, less than half the weight of wood and 100% waterproof, too! That special press fuses a heavy-gauge top sheet, waffled back sheet and 1" (2.5cm) square edge-support channels into an aluminum shell. The shell is formed around a special treated and protected high-density composite core. The top surface is then coated with an electro-static powder-epoxy enamel bright white markings on a non-glare green background.
